Camps & Programs
Northwestern Hockey Sports Camp (NHSC), lead by Larry Bumstead, is the official provider of Hockey Development Programming for the MTS Iceplex. Since 1987 Northwestern has offered a multitude of hockey development programs. The NHSC program features a unique beginning in the Initiation Program, featuring the Learn to Skate Program and Right Start Hockey Program, an intermediary program Competitive Program and the High Performance Program for elite players aspiring to take their game to the next level.
The NHSC range of programming includes summer day camps, pre-training camp and pre-season camps, in-season hockey academies, developmental programs for minor hockey associations, and numerous specialty programs including our dedicate female programming.

Learn To Skate
MTS Iceplex will be offering a Learn To Skate program for children ages 4-7 years old starting November 1st, 2011. Each session will be 45 minutes every Tuesday.
Program Details:
Parent with child will learn the basic fundamentals of skating and balance control. Other skills taught include Three Point Stance, Snow Plough Stops, and Edging.
Fun games also to be included.

Learn To Play Hockey
Starting November 4th, 2011 MTS Iceplex will offer a new Learn to Play Hockey program for children from ages 4-7 years old.
Players will learn the basic fundamentals of hockey skills.
Players will learn hockey positioning, proper skating with balance, passing, shooting and more.
Scrimmage and other fun games to be included.
